Will You Find a Cheap Cat Insurance with VPI?

That is a question that a lot of people have asked me so I decided to go to VPI’s website to see if I could find anything about offering a cheap cat insurance plan. Starting off on their main site I quickly found the picture of a cat and that picture led me to the page about cat insurance plans. “Great” I thought but then I was presented with the much hated zip code prompt. Now I can understand why insurance companies need to know where you live as certain areas are more likely to have health issues and accidents but it doesn’t change the fact that I hate that little box. So I entered a zip code for Beverly Hills to see whether that would be cheaper of more expensive than other zip codes as you would imagine that people living in 91210 would be able to pay a little higher fee for their insurance. Hovering over a lot of information about the different plans I would a Quick Quote button that I pressed.

Yet another box appeared. Come on… I’m just trying to see some prices for gods sake. But no no… I need to enter breed, name, birthday and at lot of other things. I first was told that the cat I was trying to enter were too young. Fair enough but why didn’t you tell me upfront?

Finally I entered some information that would let me move on to the next form and I could see that there were still more forms to go. Now VPI Vet Insurance might be the nations oldest company but calling this a “Quick” quote is a bit of an overstatement if you ask me. Finally I got to the end and is presented with a price of $11.42. Now that is great but maybe I should have found another price to compare with? Because something can only be cheap when compare to something else :)
